Day 01: Arrival in Sri Lanka | Negombo Coastal Rest

We will take a short, comfortable drive to your hotel in the nearby coastal town of Negombo. Day one has no heavy excursions scheduled, allowing you complete freedom to settle into your room, recover from your flight, and enjoy a relaxed evening by the pool or shore to prepare for your incredible cross-island journey.

Day 02: Negombo to Sigiriya | Lagoon Safari & Elephant Orphanage

We begin our morning experiencing the vibrant energy of the local Negombo Fish Market before embarking on a relaxing boat safari through the serene waters of the Negombo Lagoon.

Next, we journey inland toward the Cultural Triangle. En route, we will visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a heart-warming sanctuary where you can observe rescued elephants roaming and bathing in the river. Afterward, we continue our drive to Sigiriya, where you will check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening in the countryside.

Day 03: Sigiriya Exploration | Authentic Village Tour & Rock Fortress Hike

Immerse yourself in authentic island life this morning with a beautifully structured Sigiriya Village Tour. This rural experience features a peaceful walk through countryside trails, a nostalgic bullock cart ride, and a relaxing catamaran boat ride across a lotus-filled lake, concluding with a delicious, traditional Sri Lankan clay-pot lunch.

In the afternoon, we tackle the main highlight: climbing the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Ascend through the massive carved Lion's Paws to reach the 200-meter-high summit ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, rewarding you with breathtaking, panoramic views over the jungle canopy at sunset.

Day 4: Sigiriya to Kandy via Dambulla | Impressive Cave Temples

Today we depart the plains and head toward the royal hill capital, Kandy. Along the way, we stop to explore the awe-inspiring Dambulla Cave Temple complex. This UNESCO-listed marvel is Sri Lanka's largest and best-preserved cave temple, housing 5 separate shadow-filled caverns filled with ancient Buddhist murals and over 150 masterfully carved statues.

Following the cave exploration, we travel up into the lush hills to arrive in Kandy, the country’s cultural hub. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 05: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya | Sacred Tooth Relic & Tea Plantation Trails

Start your day with a deeply spiritual morning visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, joining the vibrant traditional prayer ceremony (Puja) that begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Afterward, enjoy a relaxed stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake before we wind higher into the mountains.

As the air turns cool and crisp, we enter Nuwara Eliya ("Little England"). En route, we will capture spectacular photographs of the cascading Ramboda Waterfall and tour an authentic tea plantation and factory to see how world-famous Ceylon tea is crafted, complete with a fresh tasting session.

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya to Ella | World-Famous Scenic Train Journey

Spend your morning exploring the charming, colonial-style streets and manicured parks of Nuwara Eliya. Afterward, we head to the railway station to board the scenic mountain train to Ella, universally celebrated as one of the most picturesque train journeys in the world.

Upon arriving in the cozy mountain village of Ella, we will take a beautiful architectural walk to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge to witness this stunning colonial-era railway marvel rising elegantly above the jungle ravine.

Day 07: Ella | Little Adam’s Peak Hiking & Vibrant Food Scene

Today is yours to embrace the peaceful mountain atmosphere of Ella. In the morning, we will embark on a refreshing hike up to Little Adam’s Peak, walking through lush green tea fields to reach the summit for jaw-dropping, panoramic views across the sweeping Ella Gap.

The afternoon is yours to relax or wander around the village. In the evening, head out into town to experience Ella's vibrant, globally inspired food and cafe scene, filled with music and cozy mountain hospitality.

Day 08: Ella to Mirissa via Udawalawe | Rawana Falls & Wildlife Safari

Wake up to the soothing sounds of mountain nature before we descend from the highlands toward the southern coast. Our first quick stop is to admire the legendary, crashing waters of the Rawana Waterfall right along the roadside.

We then enter the dry-zone plains for an exciting wildlife safari inside Udawalawe National Park. Riding in an open-top 4x4 jeep, this park offers unparalleled opportunities to spot massive herds of wild Asian elephants, deer, crocodiles, and exotic birds. Following the safari, we continue to the beautiful coastal resort town of Mirissa for a relaxing evening by the sea.

Day 09: Relax in Mirissa | Tropical Beach Leisure Day

Enjoy a completely free day in tropical paradise! Today is fully dedicated to pure relaxation, letting you soak up the warm sun, walk along the crescent shores, and swim in the turquoise waters of Mirissa Beach. Enjoy fresh king coconuts, relax under the palm trees, and experience a striking beachfront sunset dinner

Day 10: Mirissa to Colombo via Galle | Historic Fort Walk & City Shopping

We travel back north along the scenic coastline today, stopping first at the historic Galle Dutch Fort. Take a relaxed walking tour along the massive, UNESCO-listed sea ramparts, view the iconic Galle Lighthouse, and explore the charming, boutique-lined cobblestone alleys.

From Galle, we take the highway directly to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling commercial capital. Enjoy an evening sightseeing drive around the old colonial buildings, the modern architecture, and visit local hubs for your final souvenir and Ceylon tea shopping.

Day 11: Colombo to Airport | Final Farewell & Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast in the capital city. Depending on your flight schedule, you can spend your remaining morning hours picking up last-minute keepsakes or relaxing at your hotel.

When it is time, your private driver will provide a prompt, comfortable transfer via the airport expressway to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), ensuring you arrive safely in time for your departure flight home with wonderful memories of your perfect island escape.
